How to use One Note to solve maths equations

You don't need a calculator to find answers to simple math equations when using the Microsoft One Note. All you have to do is jot down the equations and Onw Note will automatically fill in the correct answer. This post will guide you on how to use the One Note to solve simple mathematics equations.

  1. Type the equation you wish to calculate. For example 45+1542+6342 to calculate the sum of the said numbers or type SQRT(69) to calculate the Square root of 69 or (6+7)/4*sqrt(3) to calculate the answer to 6+7 divided by 4 times the square root of 3
  2. After typing the equation type = then press the Space bar. The answer will appear immediately after the equal sign.
NOTE: Take note of the following while trying to use One note to find solution to equations;
  • Don't use spaces in the equation. Type the number and every part of the equation as a continuous string of text.
  • To create a new line after the answer, press Enter instead of spacebar after the equal sign.
  • If you want only the answer in your note after the calculation, you can simply delete the equation you entered earlier while the answer alone will be left.
